DPDP Compliance

Wild Retreats is committed to respecting your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), India's landmark legislation governing the processing of digital personal data. This page explains how we comply with the DPDP and how you can exercise your rights as a data principal.

Scope and Applicability

The DPDP applies to the processing of digital personal data within India. While Wild Retreats does not collect personal data through user registration or accounts, we may process limited personal data via website analytics, contact forms, and browser logs for operational purposes. This page outlines how we handle such data in compliance with the DPDP.

Your Rights Under DPDP

As a data principal, you have the following rights under the DPDP:

  • Right to access your personal data being processed
  • Right to correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure of your personal data
  • Right to grievance redressal if you believe your rights have been violated
  • Right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity

How We Comply

Wild Retreats complies with the DPDP by:

  • Collecting only essential personal data through contact forms and analytics tools
  • Not storing personal data longer than necessary
  • Implementing reasonable security safeguards for data transmission
  • Providing clear mechanisms to exercise your rights

Data We Process

Under the DPDP, we may process the following types of digital personal data:

  • Name and email address (submitted via contact forms)
  • IP address and device information (collected via analytics tools)
  • Browser type and usage patterns (for site optimization)

This data is processed solely for communication, website functionality, and improving user experience.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under the legal basis of consent (when you voluntarily submit a contact form) and legitimate interest (for analytics and site performance). We do not process sensitive personal data.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise your rights under the DPDP, please send a request to our Data Protection Officer via email:

[email protected]

Include your full name, the nature of your request (access, correction, erasure), and any relevant details (e.g., email used to contact us). We will verify your identity before processing your request.

Response Timeframes

We will respond to your request within seven (7) business days of receipt, as required by the DPDP. If additional time is needed, we will notify you with the reason and expected response date.

No Discrimination Policy

Wild Retreats will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of experience to you because you exercised your rights under the DPDP.
